Motorcyclist Jose Gamero Identified in Fatal Socorro Accident

 
SOCORRO, TX (December 5, 2024) – The Socorro Police Department identified 65-year-old Jose Guillermo Gamero who died in a motorcycle accident on Lisa Diane Road on November 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Socorro Road. Based on a report, Gamero was riding his light blue 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Lisa Diane Road before the crash.
 
At the same time, a maroon 2008 Mazda MA5 minivan was traveling on the same road. Investigators believe that Gamero’s motorcycle hit the minivan when he tried to turn onto Socorro Road.
 
As a result, Gamero suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
 
The driver of the minivan, a 52-year-old woman, and three passengers, a 38-year-old woman and two minors, were not hurt.
