Jonathan Ojeda Dies After Off-Road Vehicle Crash in Martinez

 
MARTINEZ, CA (January 26, 2024) — Jonathan Ojeda of Bay Point died following an off-road vehicle crash near Franklin Canyon Road and Wolcott Lane on Sunday morning, January 21.

The fatal incident involved a Can-Am utility task vehicle north of Highway 4, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities stated that the Can-Am being driven by 30-year-old Ojeda, who had two passengers, had traveled on a wet and muddy road when, for reasons still unknown, he failed to navigate a turn and crashed into a chain-link fence.

The collision left Ojeda, who had not worn his seat belt properly, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the two passengers emerged from the accident unharmed.

Officials are still looking into the factors surrounding the crash.
