Jimmy Orama Dead in Phoenix Semi-Truck Accident on 12th Street and Indian School Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 3, 2024) — 57-year-old Jimmy Orama died after a semi-truck accident on Wednesday, August 28.
 
According to the Phoenix police, the collision happened around 12:45 p.m. near 12th Street and Indian School Road.
 
Phoenix police said a semi-truck driver traveled west on Indian School Road. Then he failed to stop at a traffic light. After that, the semi collided with several vehicles stopped at the red light.
 
Officers said Orama’s vehicle was the second one that the semi hit. It resulted in a chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles.
 
Responding officers pronounced Orama dead at the scene.
 
Footage from the scene displayed a vehicle car underneath the truck, between the semi-tractor and attached trailer.
 
Authorities checked the semi-truck driver at the scene. They said he was not impaired at the time of the accident.
 
As of writing, there are no reports yet if the driver will face charges.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
