Jesus Espinoza Dies after Pahrump Hit-and-Run, Driver Arrested

 
PAHRUMP, NV (December 26, 2024) — A 42-year-old man from Pahrump, Jesus Eulajo Espinoza, died in a hit-and-run on Saturday, December 7.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kellogg Road and Squaw Valley Road.
 
Nevada State Police said a white 1997 Volvo sedan moved east on Kellogg Road approaching Squaw Valley Road. Then a black Aostirmotor electric bicycle failed to stop at a stop sign.
 
The driver of the Volvo attempted to avoid the bicycle. However, the vehicle still hit the left side of the bike, ejecting the rider off the bike.
 
Espinoza, who rode the bicycle, succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident. Responding officers pronounced him dead on the scene.
 
The driver of the Volvo did not stop and fled the scene. However, officers later found him at a residence in Pahrump. After that, they brought the driver into custody for fleeing the scene of a crash that resulted in death.
