Jennifer Lang, Another Woman Fatally Injured in Head-On Accident in Snohomish

 
SNOHOMISH, WA (January 10, 2025) — 50-year-old Jennifer L. Lang, of Monroe, and another woman died in an accident on Tuesday, December 31.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the high-speed, head-on accident occurred on Highway 2, just east of Highway 9, at around 6:43 a.m.
 
A WSP crash report said a 50-year-old Stanwood woman drove a Lexus east on Highway 2. Then she crossed the center line and hit a Honda CRV heading west on Highway 2 driven by Lang.
 
Both women suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
WSP Trooper Kelsey Harding said there were no other occupants in either vehicle.
 
As of writing, it is not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
 
Officials closed the highway in both directions between Highway 9 and 88th Street Southeast for around five hours. They reopened it at around 11:15 a.m.
