SNOHOMISH, WA (April 30, 2024) — A 28-year-old man identified as Jeffrey Nissen, of Stanwood, died in a motorcycle crash on Friday, April 19.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 522 at Fales Road shortly after 4:00 p.m. They said it involved a car and a motorcycle.
 
WSP said a Tesla rear-ended Nissen who was riding his motorcycle.
 
Police reports said that Nissen slowed down for traffic. However, the Tesla driver failed to slow down and struck the motorcycle.
 
When police arrived, they pronounced Nissen dead on the scene.
 
Police continue to investigate the accident to determine if there will be charges to be filed against the Tesla driver.
 
The incident closed lanes in both directions of Highway 522 during rush hour. It has since reopened.
