Jamil Wilson Hit, Killed by Hit-and-Run Car on Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (December 2, 2022) Lubbock police identified 33-year-old Jamil Wilson as the suspect who died in a pedestrian accident in the 2100 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway on November 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 1:12 AM.
 
Based on a report, Wilson was trying to walk across the eastbound lanes of the Marsha Sharp at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit him. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle drove away and did not render aid to Wilson.
 
As a result, EMS found Wilson and pronounced him dead.
 
Lubbock Police said they found the vehicle and its occupants. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
