Motorcyclist James Stramaglia Identified in Fatal Las Vegas Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 23, 2023) – Officers identified 26-year-old James Stramaglia who died in a motorcycle crash on Las Vegas Boulevard on August 9.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of Speedway Boulevard at approximately 6:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a black motorcycle behind a commercial roll-off truck northbound on the highway.
 
The roll-off truck slowed to make a left turn across the southbound travel lane and into a dirt lot. As the vehicle was turning, Stramaglia made an unsafe lane change, traveled into the southbound lane and hit the vehicle.
 
As a result, Stramaglia suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
The driver of the roll-off truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
As of now, the investigation into the crash continues. In addition, no other details are available.
