James Fields III Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Buckeye

 
BUCKEYE, AZ (November 21, 2023) – Officials identified 57-year-old James Fields III of Phoenix who died in a hit-and-run on 10 Freeway on November 15.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Watson Road shortly before 2:00 PM. Based on a report, Fields was walking on the right shoulder of the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle crossed over into the shoulder and struck Fields. Subsequently, the vehicle drove away from the scene without calling the authorities.
 
As a result, Field suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Officers said the force of the impact was immense. Crews closed the freeway for several hours in the area to give way to a clearing operation.
