Jackie Holbrook, Jonathon Holbrook, and Hope Kropf Killed after Tempe Accident

 
TEMPE, AZ (July 16, 2024) — 70-year-old Jackie Holbrook and two others suffered fatal injuries in an SUV accident on Sunday, June 30.
 
Tempe Police said the crash took place near Priest Drive and the Loop 202 at about 4:45 p.m.
 
According to Tempe Police, an SUV collided with a traffic signal support pole and then caught fire in the median of Priest Drive and Loop 202.
 
When responding officers arrived at the area, they found the SUV engulfed in flames. Additionally, they discovered good Samaritans extricating two people from the car. A third person was trapped in the SUV and died at the scene.
 
Officers then transported two others to area hospitals, where the fatally injured victims later died.
 
On Monday, police identified the deceased victims. They said 70-year-old Jackie Holbrook was behind the wheel. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Jonathon Holbrook was the front seat passenger, and 21-year-old Hope Baylee Kropf was in the backseat.
 
Police believe speed contributed as a factor in the accident.
 
The investigation of the crash is underway.
