Ivan Licea, Two Others Injured When Hit-and-Run Driver Hits Dallas Food Truck
DALLAS, TX (March 5, 2024) – The Dallas Police Department confirmed that food truck owner Ivan Licea sustained injuries after a hit-and-run on Pacific Avenue on February 18.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Olive Street. Based on a report, Licea was just 30 minutes into his shift at Tacos Caita food truck when a black Dodge Charger hit the side of the food truck’s trailer and fled the scene.
As a result, Licea had second-degree burns. Crews took him to a Dallas hospital and has been in and out of Parkland’s Burn Unit for appointments over the past week. His other two co-workers had minor injuries.
The hit-and-run vehicle left their car’s bumper in the middle of the road. However, officers did not yet release an update about it.
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
