Irek Gumerov and Kaelee Adams Killed in Odessa Car Accident

 
ODESSA, TX (December 1, 2024) — Irek Gumerov and Kaelee Adams died in an accident on Tuesday, November 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the two-vehicle crash took place near FM 3503 and Loop 338 at about 5:00 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said 26-year-old Gumerov, of Houston, traveled south on FM 3503 in a Volkswagen Golf. Then he failed to yield the right of way at Loop 338 to an Abilene man who was behind the wheel of a semi-tractor trailer east on Southeast Loop 338.
 
Gumerov and his passenger, both of whom wore their seat belts, died at the scene. They identified the passenger as 20-year-old Adams, of Cypress, Texas.
 
Paramedics brought the other driver, who also wore a seat belt, to Medical Center Hospital with minor injuries.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
