Teen Bicyclist Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Accident on George Washington Way in Richland
RICHLAND, WA (November 7, 2022) – Police confirmed that a hit-and-run hit a bicycle in an accident on George Washington Way on October 26.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at McMurray Street around 4:10 PM.
Based on a report, a 14-year-old boy was riding his bike in the crosswalk, crossing George Washington Way. At the same time, a silver-gray Nissan SUV was heading west on McMurray Street. As it turned south on George Washington Way, the driver struck the rear tire of the teen’s bike, knocking victim to the ground.
Fortunately, the bicyclist was not hurt in the collision.
Police said the Nissan did not stop at the scene.
