Heleodoro Rodriguez Killed, Jonathan Burgess Injured in Crash on 82 Freeway [Prosser, WA]

Heleodoro Rodriguez Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Prosser

 
PROSSER, WA (December 4, 2023) – Officials identified 35-year-old Heleodoro Lopez Rodriguez of Grandview who died in a crash on 82 Freeway on November 26.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 10:00 AM. Based on a report, Rodriguez was driving a 2005 BMW X5 east on the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he left the eastbound lanes of the divided highway and drove into the westbound lanes. He collided with a westbound truck driven by 36-year-old Jonathan J. Burgess of Pasco.
 
As a result, Rodriguez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
 
Emergency crews transported Burgess to Prosser Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
