Glennewyn Johnson Killed, Christopher Moreno and Quadre Brookins Injured After Icy Road Crash on Interstate 27

 
SWISHER COUNTY, TX (February 21, 2025)Glennewyn Johnson died while Christopher Moreno and Quadre Brookins were injured following an icy road crash on Interstate 27 on Friday, February 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal incident happened around 1:30 a.m.
 
Preliminary reports revealed that a Mercedes struck a patch of black ice on a bridge, causing the vehicle to spin around.
 
The Mercedes came to a stop but as it turned around, a semi-truck crested the overpass and struck the former.
 
34-year-old Johnson, an occupant of the Mercedes, died at the scene.
 
37-year-old Moreno, the driver of the Mercedes, and 29-year-old Brookins, a passenger, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The driver of the semi-truck also received medical treatment for minor injuries.
