Girl Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run on South Uravan Street in Aurora

 
AURORA, CO (April 8, 2024) — A young girl sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on South Uravan Street on Friday, March 29.
 
According to the Aurora Police Department, the incident took place in the 1400 block of South Uravan Street near Highland Hollows Park, south of Louisiana Avenue, at around 4:18 p.m.
 
Police said the girl, who they believe is 6-years-old, got off an RTD bus with her aunt. Then, as she walked into the roadway, a pickup truck driver struck her.
 
First responders arrived at the scene and then rushed the girl to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police said the truck driver fled from the scene after the crash. Witnesses only described the truck as all blacked out. However, no further description was available.
 
Police continue to look for a hit-and-run pickup truck driver. They urge anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
