Giovanni Falcon Identified in Fatal Dump Truck Crash in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (November 9, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 24-year-old Giovanni Hermosillo Falcon who died in a crash on 35th Avenue on October 28.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Lower Buckeye Road around 4:30 AM. Based on a report, Falcon was driving his SUV at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown circumstances, he collided with a dump truck.
 
As a result, the crash trapped Falcon in his SUV. Crews worked to extricate him but he died from his injuries at the scene.
 
A man inside the 10-wheel dump truck had minor injuries.
 
Detectives said speed from the SUV was a factor in the collision.
