George Neilan Dies after Tacoma Rollover Crash on 705 Freeway

 
TACOMA, WA (September 3, 2024) — A Tacoma man identified as George L. Neilan died in a rollover accident on Saturday, August 24.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on 705 Freeway near 5 Freeway at around 1:00 p.m.
 
WSP said Neilan drove south on 705 Freeway, moving near the northbound exit to 5 Freeway. Then he failed to negotiate a curve. After that, the vehicle overturned and wound up in a ditch.
 
Neilan died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics brought his passenger to Tacoma General Hospital. Authorities only identified him as a 61-year-old male from Tacoma.
 
Officers blocked the road for more than three hours after the accident.
