Mariana Sikiu, Gary Vincent Killed in Pickup Truck Accident in Corrigan

 
CORRIGAN, TX (December 29, 2024)Gary Vincent and his fiancé Mariana Sikiu died in a pickup truck accident on Thursday, December 19.
 
According to the Corrigan Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Highway 287, about one mile from Highway 59.
 
Corrigan Police said 36-year-old Gary Vincent, of Beaumont, and 25-year-old Mariana Sikiu, of Venezuela, traveled in a pickup truck on Highway 287. Then the truck left the roadway and hit some trees. After that, it struck a logging truck parked on the shoulder.
 
Vincent and Sikiu both sustained fatal injuries and died. The logging truck driver was not hurt.
 
A relative of Vincent said that the couple traveled from North Dakota to Silsbee so Sikiu could meet Vincent’s family for the first time this Christmas.
 
Vincent’s social media page said he was an oil & gas industry consultant. In addition, the family member said Gary owned a company in North Dakota called Texas Built Insulation LLC.
 
As of writing, it is still unclear why the truck left the roadway.
 
The Corrigan Police Department handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
