Gail Hohimer Fatally Injured after Scooter Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 4, 2024) — A 52-year-old Barstow woman identified as Gail Hohimer died in a scooter accident on Thursday, August 29.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Valley View Boulevard and Twain Avenue just before 5:00 p.m.
 
LVMPD said an SUV and scooter crashed in the intersection.
 
Responding officers then arrived and medical personnel pronounced the female driver of the scooter dead on scene.
 
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Hohimer, of Barstow, California. They listed her cause of death as blunt force injuries, with the manner being accidental.
 
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities following the accident. However, police suspect that impairment was a factor.
 
Officers temporarily closed all northbound lanes and southbound lanes from Twain Avenue to Spring Mountain Road. They advised motorists to avoid the area.
