Four Men Suffered injuries in DUI Accident on Highway 99 near Dexter Avenue

 
SEATTLE, WA (October 10, 2023) — Four men sustained injuries in a fiery DUI crash on Highway 99 on Monday, September 4.
 
According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded to a report of a crash just north of the Highway 99 tunnel around 1:50 a.m.
 
Officers said a vehicle crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked on the side of the roadway. The impact caused the unoccupied car to catch fire after the collision.
 
Paramedics brought four men believed to be in their 20s and 30s to the hospital. They said one of the men was in serious condition. The other three were in stable condition.
 
SPD said that evidence at the scene shows the causing vehicle traveled at a high speed at the time of the accident. They also took the man behind the wheel into custody for suspicion of DUI.
 
Officers closed all northbound lanes of Highway 99 at Dexter Avenue for more than five hours.
