PEARLAND, TX (October 17, 2022) – Police confirmed that five people died in a rollover crash on Highway 288 on October 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Frontage Road around 7:28 PM.
 
Based on a report, two vehicles were going southbound from Beltway 8 to Shadow Creek Parkway at the time of the crash. One was speeding and it hit the other car. Subsequently, the second car rolled over and ejected four of the five people inside it.
 
As a result, the Pearland Police Department said three of the five passengers died at the scene. A fourth passenger and the driver of the speeding vehicle died at the hospital. Officers said one of the fatalities was a juvenile.
 
The fifth passenger of the second car and two juvenile passengers of the speeding vehicle were transported to the hospital for their injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no further information is available.
