Five Hospitalized after Phoenix Accident on Tatum Boulevard and Thunderbird Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 22, 2023) — Five people suffered injuries after an SUV crash on Tatum Boulevard on Thursday, December 7.
 
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., emergency crews rushed to the intersection of Tatum Boulevard and Thunderbird Road.
 
According to the Phoenix police, an SUV and pickup truck crashed in the area. The report said the crash caused the SUV to overturn onto the sidewalk. After that, the SUV struck a woman and a child riding in a stroller.
 
Firefighters confirmed that they brought the woman and child and another man and woman involved in the crash to a hospital. All of them were in critical condition. In addition, they transported a fifth person to the hospital.
 
According to officers, the woman who was hit by the SUV had the worst injuries. Meanwhile, the four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Officers closed the intersection for several hours as detectives investigated.
