Firefighter and Three Others Injured in Four-Vehicle Accident on 70th Avenue and Indian School Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 21, 2023) — A Phoenix firefighter and three others were hurt in a four-vehicle crash on 70th Avenue on Tuesday, July 4.
 
According to Phoenix Police Department officers, the accident happened at 70th Avenue and Indian School Road shortly after 5:00 p.m.
 
When officers arrived, they discovered a vehicle on the roadway. They also found a Phoenix Fire truck just off the sidewalk, near an apartment complex.
 
Investigators said the fire truck crashed into a townhouse complex carport with cars underneath.
 
Emergency crews not involved in the incident transported four people, including a Phoenix Fire Engineer, to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Another incident involving two separate vehicles happened in the same area. Nobody in those vehicles sustained injuries.
 
Officials have not yet said what caused the incident.
