Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 51st Avenue at Baseline Road in Laveen Village

 
LAVEEN VILLAGE, AZ (May 8, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed a fatal pedestrian accident on 51st Avenue on May 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Baseline Road. Based on a report, the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a man hit the victim with his truck.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Police said the driver of the truck stayed on the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
