PHOENIX, AZ (January 10, 2025) — A 35-year-old man identified as Ethan Jaaziel Felix died in a hit-and-run on Friday, December 27.
 
According to the Phoenix police, the incident occurred near 16th Street and Thomas Road at about 7:30 p.m.
 
Phoenix Police believe the 38-year-old Miguel Preciado Jr. intentionally struck Felix with their vehicle. Then Preciado Jr. drove away from the scene.
 
Officers responded to the scene and discovered Felix suffering from serious injuries. Emergency responders brought him to the hospital. However, he later died at the hospital from sustained injuries.
 
Officials said Pinal County Sheriff deputies helped them find Preciado Jr. outside Tucson. They brought him into custody on Tuesday and he faces first-degree murder charges.
