Eloy Serrano, Jesus Escamilla and Antonia Barragan Killed in Car Accident on Highway 26 [Grant County, WA]

78-Year-Old Eloy Serrano, Jesus Escamilla and Antonia Barragan Identified in Fatal Othello Crash

 
GRANT COUNTY, WA (July 20, 2023) – Officers identified 78-year-old Eloy Serrano, 21-year-old Jesus Escamilla and 63-year-old Antonia Barragan who died in a crash on Highway 26 on July 15.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Road D Southeast. Based on a report, the victims were together in one vehicle traveling west on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 30-year-old man was driving on the eastbound side. Due to unknown reasons, the man drifted into the westbound lane and collided with the victims’ vehicle. They then traveled over the westbound shoulder and into the ditch below.
 
As a result, all three victims died in the incident.
 
Emergency crews transported the driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle to Kedlac Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
 
Police suspected drugs and/or alcohol to be a factor.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
