E-Bike Rider Harmed After Crash on Otay Mesa Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 18, 2025) – An electric bicycle rider was injured following a crash on Otay Mesa Road on Wednesday evening, February 5.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m.
 
Preliminary investigation reported that a bicyclist was heading westbound on the north sidewalk of Otay Mesa Road when a 2020 Hino truck traveling westbound hit the former.
 
Medics took the 27-year-old bicyclist to a local hospital with a fractured femur and pelvis.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
