Eduardo Gonzalez Arrested and Five Dead after Fort Worth DUI Accident

 
FORT WORTH, TX (August 29, 2024) — Authorities arrested 19-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez after a fatal DUI accident on Monday, August 19.
 
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the crash took place on the 35W Freeway near Seminary Drive on Monday morning.
 
Forth Worth Police said Gonzalez drove a black Chevy Camaro near the exit ramp to Seminary Drive off the northbound 35W Freeway. Then it rear-ended a sedan. Upon impact, the sedan caught fire, killing all five passengers inside.
 
According to MedStar, two of the deceased passengers were children. However, the names and ages of all victims were not immediately available. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release their identities after they have notified their next of kin.
 
Gonzalez suffered a serious injury, and paramedics transported him to the hospital.
 
Upon their investigation, Fort Worth PD discovered that Gonzalez traveled at high speeds while under the influence of alcohol. They charged him with five counts of intoxication manslaughter with vehicle, as well as one count of driving while under the influence.
 
Gonzalez is currently in jail, awaiting further action.
