One Arrested in Longmont Hit-And-Run on South Hover Street

 
LONGMONT, CO (May 22, 2024) – The Longmont Police Department suspected a DUI driver involved in a hit-and-run in the 1000 block of South Hover Street on May 5.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened around 12:04 PM. Based on a report, the suspect was the driver of a black Toyota that hit a vehicle and ran over two people.
 
Officers did not know the extent of the injuries of the victims.
 
A short time later, another witness called Longmont police dispatch and reported that the vehicle was still mobile and had struck another vehicle at 2727 Nelson Road.
 
Subsequently, officers were able to locate the vehicle and arrest the male driver. They did not yet disclose the suspect’s identity.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
