Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run on East Lake Mead Boulevard in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 27, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still looking for the driver involved in a fatal bicycle accident on East Lake Mead Boulevard on September 24.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Mt. Hood Street around 9:14 PM. Based on a report, the suspect was driving a 2016-2017 silver Honda Accord and was speeding on East Lake Mead Boulevard.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver struck a bicyclist who was crossing the road near Mt. Hood Street. Subsequently, the suspect left the scene.
 
As a result, the bicyclist sustained grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported the victim to University Medical Center, where they later died. Officials only identified the victim as a 54-year-old.
 
Police found the vehicle but not the driver. They ask anyone with information to call Metro Collision Investigation Section at (702) 828-3595.
 
As of now, the investigation into the crash continues. In addition, no other details are available.
