SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 28, 2025) – A driver suffered injuries following a head-on crash on McCullough Avenue on Thursday evening, February 20.
 
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the incident happened around 11:30 p.m.
 
Reports indicated that authorities tried to pull a driver for a flat tire but the driver fled and weaved in and out of the traffic lanes.
 
The driver later collided head-on with another vehicle, police said.
 
Medics took the driver to a local hospital in a non-critical condition with a head injury.
 
A 19-year-old and 20-year-old men, who were passengers of the struck vehicle, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
 
Authorities later determined that the driver who fled the police was driving under the influence. A weapon was also found in his vehicle.
 
With this, he was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful carry of a weapon and a drug possession charge.
