Hit-and-Run Driver Dies in Second Car Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) — A driver died in a fiery car crash on Jones Boulevard while fleeing from a separate hit-and-run accident on Monday, July 3.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the accident happened around 7:00 p.m.
 
Reports said a 2010 Toyota Corolla traveled northbound on Jones Boulevard, approaching Jalisco Avenue at a high rate of speed. The driver tried to flee the scene of a separate hit-and-run crash.
 
Police said the driver failed to obey a traffic sign that said that Jones Boulevard was closed. Then the vehicle collided with concrete barriers, causing the car to catch fire.
 
The driver died at the scene. Authorities have not released the driver’s identity.
 
There is no further information about the crash.
