Junior Louis, Diony Antoine, JN Irard Vixamar, Ledene Pierre-Louis, and Geneve Louis Killed in Rollover Accident on Highway 287 [Alvord, TX]

5 Killed, 9 Injured in Alvord Rollover Car Accident

 
ALVORD, TX (September 3, 2024) — Five people died while nine others sustained injuries in a rollover accident on August 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at around 8:00 a.m. on Highway 287 near the FM 1655 exit.
 
Texas DPS said a passenger van carrying 14 people traveled on Highway 287. Then the vehicle went into the median and lost control. It caused the van to flip over multiple times and ejected some of the passengers.
 
46-year-old Diony Antoine, who drove the vehicle, and two other passengers, 42-year-old JN Irard Vixamar and 36-year-old Ledene Pierre-Louis, died at the scene.
 
Another passenger was transported to the Medical City Denton succumbed to her injuries. Authorities identified her as 28-year-old Geneve Louis. Junior Louis was also pronounced dead at Medical City Denton on Friday.
 
The ten remaining occupants of the van with ages ranging from 25 to 52 years old sustained injuries of various severity.
 
Noel Fednel suffered critical injuries. Dieudyrat Eliassaint, 33-year-old Walnick Desir, 34-year-old Reginald Neptune, 25-year-old Marc Jean Lorkens Baptiste, 52-year-old Vincola Lecean, 35-year-old Jean Edson, and 47-year-old Jean Philippe Durock had serious injuries. Lastly, 44-year-old Manius Vines, who is the only one that wore a seatbealt, sustained minor injuries.
 
DPS also reported that the victims are Haitian. In addition, they reiterated that the case was not related to human trafficking or human smuggling.
