Deputy Prosecutor Brad Bartlett, Wife, and Two Children Die in Prosser Car Crash
PROSSER, WA (July 25, 20240) — Prosecuting Attorney Brad Bartlett, his wife, and two children died in a car accident on Thursday, July 4.
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Travis Road and Sellards Road.
BCSO said Bartlett and his family traveled south on Travis Road. Then he failed to stop at the intersection with Sellards Road. A truck going west subsequently struck their vehicle.
Reports later confirmed Bartlett, his wife, and their 9-year-old and 3-week-old children died in the incident.
Bartlett’s 2-year-old son was the only survivor of the accident. Paramedics airlifted him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He has since been released to his loved ones.
Emergency responders transported the driver of the second truck to the hospital after the crash and have since been released.
BSCO said that there is no indication that impairment was a factor in the incident. In addition, they said everyone in the involved wore seatbelts.
The Benton County Prosecutor’s Office requests the public to respect the Bartlett family’s privacy.
Our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones and friends of Brad Bartlett and his family during this difficult time.
