Deputy Andrew Davidson Identified in Off-Duty Crash in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 28, 2023) – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that 23-year-old Deputy Andrew Davidson died in a motorcycle crash on Van Buren Boulevard on April 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of Garfield Street at approximately 8:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, Davidson was off-duty at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a silver sedan collided with his motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into a utility pole and a row of parked cars. The sedan sustained serious damage to its front passenger side.
 
As a result, Davidson died in the incident.
 
The driver of the sedan, a 66-year-old Riverside man, complained of pain that did not require hospitalization.
