One Dead After Hale County Crash

 
HALE COUNTY, TX (July 5, 2023) – 49-year-old Debora Ann Beck died following a crash on South Date (FM 400) and County Road 110 on Thursday evening, June 29.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 8:03 p.m. It involved a vehicle driven by Beck and a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old.

Initial investigation reported that while heading south on Date, Beck slowed down to turn left. At the same time, the teenager that was driving behind Beck attempted to pass Beck’s vehicle as the other tried to make a turn. Both vehicles then collided with each other and Beck’s vehicle hit the culvert before stopping.

Medics took Beck to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The teenager did not suffer any injuries, police said.

No additional details are available. However, an investigation is ongoing at this time.
