VANCOUVER, WA (February 5, 2025) — Authorities cited Deanna Fontijn and Gracie Weikel-Jauert after a crash on Thursday, January 30.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the three-vehicle collision occurred on 205 Freeway at Padden Parkway.
 
WSP said 46-year-old Deanna Fontijn drove a 2006 Toyota Corolla on 205 Freeway. Then she brake-checked a 2005 Acura multiple times. In response, 22-year-old Gracie Weikel-Jauert, the Acura’s driver, tried to pass on the left shoulder. However, she lost control and collided with a semi-truck.
 
The Acura was totaled in the accident. Meanwhile, the semi-truck sustained damage. However, the Corolla did not have any damage.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and said there were no injuries in the incident.
 
Authorities then cited both Fontijn and Weikel-Jauert for reckless driving. The 42-year-old semi-truck driver did not receive any citations.
 
Officials continue to investigate the incident.
