One Dead, Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash Near Tyler

 
TYLER, TX (October 11, 2022)David C. Lewandowski was confirmed dead on Highway 110 after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, October 2.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. at least two miles away from Tyler. 19-year-old Nicholas R. Agustin of Tyler was driving a southbound 2009 Ford Crown Victoria on the highway.

37-year-old Kimberly N. Thomas of Woodway resident was also in the area driving a 2012 Honda Civic. 51-year-old Lewandowski of Hewitt was with her as a passenger when the accident happened.

Investigation revealed that the Ford entered the northbound lane and struck the Honda. The occupants of Honda were both wearing seatbelts, while Agustin was not.

Lewandowski died at the scene, DPS said.

Authorities transported Thomas to UT Health Hospital with serious injuries. Agustin sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Christus Mother Frances Hospital.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
