MIDLAND, TX (June 6, 2024) – The Midland Police Department arrested 36-year-old Danny Paul Rodriguez following a hit-and-run on Florida Avenue on May 26.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before 2:00 AM. Based on a report, multiple people were involved in a fight in the parking lot of La Cantina.
 
Subsequently, the fight moved into the street. Due to unknown reasons, Rodriguez hit two people in the outside lane of East Florida with his maroon Cadillac SUV. The suspect did not slow down or stop.
 
As a result, one of the pedestrians suffered critical injuries. The other victim is in stable condition.
 
Rodriguez turned himself in to the police. MPD says charges are pending while the investigation continues.
