James Jacobson and Daniel Wright Identified in Fatal Boulder County Car Crash

 
BOULDER COUNTY, CO (May 25, 2023) – The Boulder County Coroner’s Office identified 46-year-old Daniel Wright and 34-year-old James Jacobson who died in a hit-and-run on Highway 287 on May 19.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened just south of the Larimer County line at around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, the victims’ Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Ram pickup were “road-raging” prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, the pickup collided with the left side of the Camaro, spinning it into oncoming traffic. A Toyota Tundra going north then hit the Camaro on the passenger side.
 
As a result, Wright and Jacobson suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Tundra was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
 
As of now, officers ask anyone with additional information to call Colorado State Patrol dispatch at 303-239-4501.
