Elie Khoury, Daniel Ozeri Die in Las Vegas Wrong-Way Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 11, 2024) — A 39-year-old man identified as Daniel Ozeri died in a wrong-way accident on Thursday, June 20.
 
Family members told news outlets the other driver killed was 49-year-old Elie Khoury, the owner of Larry’s Great Western Meats on Valley View Boulevard.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the crash happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. on 215 Beltway, west of Jones Boulevard.
 
Nevada Department of Public Safety officials confirmed that a vehicle moved in the wrong direction on the Northern Beltway 215 westbound. Then it crashed head-on into a second vehicle. As a result, both cars caught on fire.
 
The wrong-way vehicle had one occupant. Emergency responders pronounced the adult male driver dead at the scene.
 
The vehicle that was struck by the wrong-way driver had two people inside. Paramedics also pronounced the adult male driver dead at the scene. It is unclear at this time which person Ozeri and Khoury was in the vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, they brought the passenger to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
A third vehicle was also part of the crash and had one occupant. The driver did not sustain any injuries, NSP said.
 
NSP asked motorists to avoid the area at the Northern 215 Beltway westbound. They closed it at Jones Boulevard, and it remained closed for at least 6 hours.
