Crystal Nagal Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash Involving Drowsy Driver in Gatesville

 
GATESVILLE, TX (June 20, 2024) – Officials identified 50-year-old Crystal Anne Nagal of Clifton who died in a head-on crash in the 12000 block of Highway 84 on June 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 9:25 PM. Based on a report, Nagal was a passenger inside a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV traveling eastbound on the highway.
 
At the same time, a 38-year-old man was driving a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek SUV west on the road. The driver reportedly fell asleep, crossed over into eastbound traffic, and hit the Mitsubishi.
 
As a result, Nagal suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Officials did not yet state if alcohol was a factor.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
