Claude Kimmel Killed, Luis Munoz Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 84 [Nolan County, TX]

Claude Identified in Fatal Car Crash on Highway 84 in Nolan County

 
NOLAN COUNTY, TX (November 2, 2023) – County Judge Whitley May identified 62-year-old Claude Joseph Kimmel of San Antonio who died in a crash on Highway 84 on October 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Business 84. Based on a report, Kimmel was traveling north on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, 67-year-old Luis Sandoval Munoz of Seminole was driving an SUV east on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, Kimmel failed to yield the right of way to Munoz and the vehicles collided.
 
As a result, Kimmel suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Munoz sustained serious incapacitating injuries and was taken to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
