Cinthya Guerrero Identified in Fatal Friona Accident on County Road 17

 
FRIONA, TX (December 19, 2023) – Troopers identified 30-year-old Cinthya Guerrero of Friona who died in an accident on County Road 17 on December 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 60 around 6:50 AM. Based on a report, a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer was facing north on County Road 17 and stopped at the stop sign before the crash.
 
At the same time, Guerrero was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze west on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, the truck tractor crossed over the eastbound lanes and entered the crossover in the center median to drive west on the highway.
 
The driver of the truck tractor failed to yield the right of way and entered the west lane inside the path of Guerrero, resulting in the crash.
 
As a result, Guerrero suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
