Charles Clay Killed in Lubbock Bicycle Crash

 
LUBBOCK, TX (November 18, 2024) — A man identified as Charles Clay died in a bicycle accident on Sunday, October 27.
 
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the accident occurred on 103rd Street and Indiana Avenue at around 9:37 p.m. on
 
LPD said a car driven by 24-year-old Juan Vallin traveled north on Indiana Avenue. At the same time, Clay who rode a bicycle, traveled north on Indiana. Then Vallin’s vehicle struck Clay’s bicycle.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the scene. Then they brought Clay to the University Medical Center. He later passed away on Wednesday afternoon.
 
There were no reports of whether speed or impairment contributed to the accident.
 
The investigation is still underway.
