Candace Zenor Identified in Fatal Crash Involving DUI Driver in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (July 19, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified 68-year-old Candace Ann Zenor who died in a crash on East 22nd Street on June 29.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Sarnoff Drive around 9:15 PM. Based on a report, Zenor was driving a 2018 Nissan Murano on 22nd Street before the crash.
While attempting to turn left onto southbound Sarnoff Drive, a 2018 Dodge Caravan hit his Nissan.
As a result, Zenor suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she later died.
Authorities said the driver of the Nissan died at the hospital. Tucson Police identified the driver as 68-year-old Candace Ann Zenor. The family has been notified.
Tucson Police said crews also took the driver of the Dodge to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. An officer from the DUI Unit determined her to be impaired at the time of the collision.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
