Bradford Cosway Killed after Motorcycle Crash on Highway 199 near FM 2210

 
POOLVILLE, TX (September 24, 2024) — 66-year-old Bradford Glenthorne Cosway, of Altus, died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, September 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Highway 199 shortly before 1:30 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said Cosway rode a 2014 Honda Valkyrie motorcycle northwest on Highway 199. At the same time, a 2023 Ford Explorer traveled north on FM Road 2210.
 
Then the SUV driver ignored a stop sign and entered the intersection. After that, the motorcycle struck it in the side.
 
Cosway suffered injuries in the crash. Emergency responders brought him to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Medical personnel later pronounced him dead. DPS said he wore a helmet.
 
Meanwhile, 35-year-old Bethany Michelle Olson, of Bridgeport, a 9-year-old girl, and a 6-year-old boy in the SUV sustained minor injuries. They received medical treatment at the scene.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
