Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (September 24, 2024) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that a boy suffered injuries in a hit-and-run on North Academy Boulevard on September 6.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened at Platte Avenue just before midnight. Based on a report, a vehicle was drifting in the At Home store parking lot when it hit the boy.
Police said the driver did not stop to help the victim.
As a result, the boy was hurt in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital and authorities did not have an update on his condition.
Police are not releasing information on the suspect vehicle due to the current investigation. They ask anyone with information to call CSPD at 719-444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
