Fatal Motorcycle Accident on 10 Freeway in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (November 6, 3024) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on 10 Freeway on Saturday, October 19.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred on 10 Freeway near 67th Avenue at about 12:45 a.m.
 
Troopers said a motorcyclist and multiple vehicles crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway. While there are limited details about the incident, they confirmed that the motorcyclist died.
 
It is not immediately clear whether more than one person was on the motorcycle.
 
Authorities closed the westbound lanes of 10 Freeway and northbound Loop 202 South Mountain to 10 Freeway westbound on-ramp. They closed it for several hours but reopened it just after 6:00 a.m.
 
Officers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
